The Day of the Fight for Freedom and Democracy, which marks the Velvet Revolution of 1989, represents a most important commemoration of the struggle for freedom in Slovakia 31 years ago, TASR was told by co-governing Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) spokesman Ondrej Sprlak on Tuesday. "The fight for democracy hasn't come to an end, however. It's our daily duty to fight for democracy and the rule of law," said SaS caucus leader Anna Zemanova.
