The Slovak government "has sent yet another negative message to its allies in the European Union and NATO", the opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party said on Wednesday in reaction to the absence of Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini from celebrations to mark the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings. Slovakia is being represented at the celebrations by Deputy Prime Minister Richard Rasi. SaS said it considers this disrespectful towards fallen Slovak soldiers.
