SaS calls on justice minister to postponing appointment of judges until after election

The Opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party has called on Justice Minister Gabor Gal not to appoint the chairs of 17 courts whose terms in office is due to begin after the February 29 general election. Gal has rejected SaS's call, slamming it as "dangerous" and a part of campaigning. He added that a relevant law obliges him to announce a process to select a court chair no later than 90 days before a term expires.
