Sang wants to be first Czech ethnic Vietnamese MEP

May 10th, 2019

Tran Van Sang wants to be the first Vietnamese MEP elected for the Czech Republic and his campaign counts on the roughly 60,000 "hard-working Czech Vietnamese sticking together", daily Lidove noviny (LN) said on Friday. Vietnamese are the third largest ethnic minority in Czechia. The latest data of the 2011 census show that almost 30,000 citizens considered themselves ethnic Vietnamese.
