February 11th, 2022
Sales figures for the whole of 2021 show a recovery in trade compared with 2020, and the number of customers in stores also increased in yearly terms, albeit not enough to reach pre-pandemic levels, the Slovak Modern Trade Alliance (SAMO) has reported, adding that the sales of food and drug-store items of businesses belonging to the organisation increased by an annual 4.23 percent. SAMO representative Martin Krajcovic attributed the growth to the "one-stop shopping" trend, which involves buying different goods under one roof.
