Ruling parties call on Budapest mayor to set up tourism fund

The Budapest chapter of the ruling Fidesz-KDNP parties on Friday called on Mayor Gergely Karacsony to reserve funds worth 50 billion forints (EUR 139.9m) to support those working in tourism with a view to the coronavirus epidemic. Group leader Zsolt Lang told MTI that entrepreneurs and employees in the sector were especially impacted in the capital, and noted the vital importance of maintaining economic competitiveness.
