Ruling coalition agrees to elect remaining top court candidates

Parliamentary Chair and head of the Slovak National Party (SNS) Andrej Danko confirmed after the coalition council meeting on Tuesday that the coalition has agreed to elect the five remaining candidates for the Constitutional Court, adding that if parliament failed to elect them, the next vote, which would take place in September, would be public. "On behalf of SNS I'm announcing that this is the last time that we'll vote by secret ballot," he said. Regarding the fact that MPs erred in previous votes when completing their ballot papers, rendering their votes invalid and thus thwarting the votes, Danko said this could be attributed to human error.
