RRZ: General government deficit might drop to 4.8 percent of GDP this year

The general government deficit might drop to some 5 billion, or 4.8 percent of gross domestic product this year, which is 180 million lower than the deficit envisaged in the approved budget, the Budgetary Responsibility Council (RRZ) announced on Tuesday. The reason is a likely failure to draw the full amount of 505 million linked to approved reforms, along with higher tax revenues, stated RRZ.
