Rise in Covid-19 cases slowing in Czech Republic

The Czech Republic confirmed 9,241 Covid-19 cases on Monday, which means that the daily rise dropped below 10,000 on a working day for the first time after more than two weeks, according to the data the Health Ministry released on its website. In the past seven days, 1,153 coronavirus deaths were reported. On Monday, 108 patients died. Since the epidemic outbreak in the country with 10.7 million inhabitants in March, more than 350,000 people have tested positive. As nearly half of them have recovered, the number of active infections stands at 176,634.
