Restrictions to be tougher unless they are respected - minister

October 5th, 2020

The measures aimed at curbing the spread of the novel coronavirus will probably have to be tougher in some ten days if 30 to 40 percent of the population does not respect the current measures, Health Minister Roman Prymula told a press conference on Monday. There is no reason to introduce tough restrictions like those that take effect in Israel or Madrid, Prymula said. On Tuesday, the government council for health risks will discuss possible further steps to be taken. On Friday, Prymula is to announce the restrictions that will take effect a week later, those that will take effect after two weeks and those to be effective for a long time. Prymula said about 60 restrictive measures are being considered.
