RegioJet preparing for termination of Bratislava-Komarno route's operation

Private rail carrier RegioJet is preparing itself for the termination of its operation on the Bratislava-Komarno line (Nitra region) in December of this year, the company's spokesman Ales Ondruj told TASR on Monday. The carrier has already begun preparations for a mass layoff of employees. It says it had to start with these steps in order to meet deadlines set by the law, as the Transport Ministry has not yet decided how the operation of trains on this route will be ensured after December 13 when the contract with RegioJet expires.
