Red Army memorial vandalised in Czech town

The police have begun a search for a vandal who spray painted a memorial with several figures, including a Red Army soldier and a member of the Communist-era People's Militia, sometime between July 3 and 6, local police spokesman Ivo Cernohorsky told CTK on Tuesday. Using a green dye, the individual sprayed the second part of the text "With the Soviet Union Forever," writing instead "With the Soviet Union Misery Came to This Country." He wrote "Communism Is Rubbish" on another part of the memorial.
