Ratio of Slovaks near poverty threshold at 11.4 pc in 2020

The ratio of Slovakia's population living near the poverty threshold edged down to 11.4 percent, or 650,000 people in 2020, form 11.9 percent in 2019, the Slovak Statistical Office said on Tuesday. Childless households or single-parent households and children younger than 18 years were the most threatened, the office said.
