Rasi to represent Slovakia at D-Day anniversary celebrations

Slovakia will be represented by Vice-premier Richard Rasi (Smer-SD) at the Normandy landing anniversary celebrations, with Rasi leaving for the English city of Portsmouth, where the main event will be held on the occasion of the D-Day 75th anniversary, on Tuesday evening, TASR learnt on the same day. Vice-premier Rasi will also honour Slovak and Czech soldiers at the Brookwood military cemetery. On behalf of the Slovak Government, he will lay a wreath on their memorial and attend a prayer ceremony for the dead soldiers that will be delivered by Benedictine monks.
