Rare, unusual 'guest' spotted by ornithologists at ponds in Kosice region

Slovak ornithologists have sighted an unusual species at Senianske ponds, an important migration stop for many birds in Europe located in Kosice region, namely a great white pelican, also known as rosy pelican. The experts, however, cant come to grips with the reason for the birds visit, as its nearest natural habitat lies in the Danube delta in Romania, several hundred kilometres away from the ponds.
