Public procurement office fines Bratislava city for signing contract on street lights without tender

The Public Procurement Office has fined the Bratislava city authority almost 80,000 euros for signing a contract with Siemens on street lights without a tender. UVO did not accept the city's arguments concerning technical reasons and time pressure, as this was actually the fault of the city authority because it didn't begin procuring a provider for street lights properly in advance, UVO spokesperson Jana Zvoncekova said.
