The extra-parliamentary Progressive Slovakia (PS) party on Wednesday called on the government to hold back on using the Russian-made Sputnik V Covid vaccine until it's approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). "This is the last call to the sane ministers in the government not to give in to pressure from a former prime minister," PS head Irena Bihariova said. "Rules must apply in the same manner for everything, and given that all other vaccines [used in Europe] had to be tested and approved by the EMA, we don't see any reason why Sputnik V should be exempted from this."
