Several non-parliamentary parties have said that the proposal to increase nurses' salaries that was presented last week by Finance Minister Igor Matovic and Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky is insufficient in their eyes, pointing to nurses' reactions. Ex-health minister and Voice-SD deputy leader Richard Rasi said the proposed increases were only a partial solution. Meanwhile, Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) team leader for health-care matters Monika Kolejakova opined that the proposed salary hikes were not sufficient to prevent Slovak nurses from seeking work abroad or changing careers.
