Trnava-based carmaker Stellantis Slovakia has announced on its website that production will be suspended from Friday to Sunday due to continuing lack of semiconductor component supplies caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Production will only go ahead in a press shop during the morning shift on Friday, and employees engaged in unloading lorries will work based on instructions. The carmaker has had production issues since early May, with the main reason being a shortage of components on the global market.
