Prime minister praises gov't track record at fighting unemployment

Mateusz Morawiecki, the Polish prime minister, has said his government has been successful in bringing down the jobless rate to one of the lowest levels ever. According to the Central Statistical Office, the unemployment rate remained at 5.8 percent in August, while the EU's Eurostat, which also considers irregular job contracts, said in its report for July that the rate reached 3.4 percent, one of the lowest in the EU.
