President Zeman thanks mayor of Brazilian village Lidice

President Milos Zeman wrote a letter to the mayor of Brazilian village Lidice expressing gratitude for supporting the Czech Republic and commemorating WWII events by naming the municipality after the obliterated Czech village Lidice, the Presidential Office said in a press release today. The Brazilian village took up the name 78 years ago.
