Slovakia's economy and society face big changes, and high-quality universities can either play an irreplaceable role in them or be visibly lacking, President Zuzana Caputova said after a meeting with Slovak university rectors on Thursday dedicated to the prepared amendment to the University Act. "It's in our common interest for the quality of education to grow, which is why I'll continue to hold an open dialogue with the academic community and the amendment proposal's sponsor, Education Minister Branislav Groehling," the head of state said.
