President signs 2021 budget bill into law

January 28th, 2021

The Polish president has signed into law the 2021 budget bill envisaging a PLN 82.3-billion (EUR 18.3 billion) deficit. The announcement was made on Thursday by the President's Office. According to the Finance Ministry, the planned deficit will provide funds for the strengthening of the Polish economy, which has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Under the budget, the government claims, it will also be able to carry out investments and continue its socio-economic policy.
