Remembrance Day for Victims of Communism is an appeal not to lose historical memory, President Zuzana Caputova posted on Facebook, marking the commemoration day on Friday. "So that we don't forget the persecuted, tortured, imprisoned and executed fellow citizens. At the same time, this day reminds us that power, which is wrong, doesn't even have a chance to succeed. The desire for truth and freedom eventually always wins," the president said.
