President of Taiwan to start Prague Forum 2000 conference

President of Taiwan Tsai Ing-wen will start the international conference Forum 2000, which is annually held in Prague, with her speech on Monday, organisers told journalists today. She will not be in Prague as the 24th Forum 2000 conference is taking place online due to the coronavirus pandemic. The relations between the Czech Republic and Taiwan recently came to the foreground thanks to the visit of Senate chairman Milos Vystrcil (Civic Democratic Party, ODS) there.
