President: Dismissal of STU chancellor far from standard

The dismissal of the chancellor of the Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava was very far from a standard process, President Zuzana Caputova stated on Tuesday in response to Monday's (October 26) decision of the STU Academic Senate, which approved the dismissal of Chancellor Miroslav Fikar. According to the head of state, the highest standards of transparency and reasonable considerations in making decisions are rightly expected from the academic environment.
