Preliminary round of Chopin International Piano Competition postponed

The preliminary round of the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition was postponed from April to September 2020 due to the coronavirus threat, the institute has announced in a statement. "Following in the footsteps of the decision taken by the Polish Government's coronavirus crisis management team to temporarily cancel all public cultural events, the Fryderyk Chopin Institute has decided to move the preliminary round of the 18th Chopin Competition from April to September," the institute said.
