Prague's National Gallery to display Vaclav Hollar's drawings

The National Gallery (NGP) will open the so far biggest exhibition of drawings by Prague-born graphic artist, engraver and etcher Vaclav Hollar (1607-1677) in the Kinsky Palace in Prague centre on November 22, exhibition curator Alena Volrabova told CTK on Monday. Such a high number of Hollar's drawings has never before been displayed in the world, she added. Most of the 187 works to be seen in Prague were loaned from Britain where the artist had lived for a long time.
