Prague may display Mucha's Slav Epic in Savarin for 25 years

Prague will be able to place Alfons Mucha's Slav Epic cycle of paintings in the Savarin Palace on Wenceslas Square for 25 years with a five-year option and its dispute with one of the artist's heirs, John Mucha, will be terminated, based on the draft agreement the Prague City Hall approved today. The epic consists of 20 giant paintings by Czech Art-Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha (1860-1939), depicting Slav mythology and Czech history. The artist worked on its for 18 years from 1910.
