Emergencies have been declared in twelve Slovak towns and villages in connection with a shortage of potable water, the Interior Ministry's press department told TASR on Wednesday. The settlements in question are: Volica, Dlhe Straze and Baldovce (Presov region); Drna, Chramec and Sutor (Banska Bystrica region); Paca, Rudnany, Slatvina and Vojkovce (Kosice region); Zubak (Trencin region); and the town of Banska Stiavnica (Banska Bystrica region).
