The population number rose by 3,000 to 10.653 million in the Czech Republic in the first three months of the year, largely due to migration, according to the data released by the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) today. The number of newborn babies diminished by over 1,000 to 26,400, while that of deaths rose to almost 30,000. The total populationnumber only rose thanks to migration.
