Polish, US ambassadors to EU discuss nuclear energy policy in Brussels

Polish ambassador to the EU Andrzej Sados and his US counterpart Ronald Gidwitz held talks on Thursday in Brussels during which they discussed, among other issues, nuclear energy, EU energy policy as well as the construction of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. According to Gidwitz, the discussion also concerned US-Polish-EU energy cooperation. The diplomats discussed the progress made in the scope of the Polish-US public-private scheme for small modular reactors. He said such reactors would play an important role in achieving European decarbonisation goals.
