September 8th, 2020
Polish students won the gold and silver medals at the 4th European Junior Olympiad in Informatics 2020 (EJOI ) held in a remote mode, the Education Ministry said on Tuesday. The gold medal was awarded to Konstanty Smolira, a graduate of the 'European' Bilingual Primary School in Szerokie, eastern Poland. Silver went to Ignacy Boelke, a graduate from Szczecin, north-western Poland. The first European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (EJOI) was held in Bulgaria in 2017. This year's competition was to be held in Tbilisi, but due to the epidemic, the organisers decided to conduct the competition in a remote format.
