In an interview with Russian news agency TASS, Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz has said the main subject of his last meeting with Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov was the return to Poland of the Smolensk air disaster wreckage. When the two foreign ministers met in Helsinki in May, they discussed the return to Poland of the wreckage of the TU-154M presidential plane that crashed in Smolensk on April 10, 2010, with the loss of all 96 people on board, Czaputowicz told TASS, describing the talks as important. He pointed out that the meeting took place after a five-year break. "We showed that both sides are open to talks and discussion on the problems existing between them," Czaputowicz said.
