Polish Righteous Among Nations, state delegation meet Israeli president

Nine Polish citizens, honoured with the Righteous Among the Nations distinction for helping Jews during the second world war, and a Polish state delegation met with Israeli President Reuven Rivlin in Jerusalem on Wednesday. The meeting was also attended by the Polish Ambassador to Israel Marek Magierowski and the head of the Office for War Veterans and Victims of Oppression (UKiOR), Jan Jozef Kasprzyk. The Israeli President said that the acts of Righteous are highly recognised in the history of Jewish nation and the entire world. "It is a great honour to host the minister and veterans, the Righteous and the delegation. Please send my best wishes to President Andrzej Duda," he added.
