As many as 300 million Polish passengers chose rail transport in 2019, up from 310 million in 2018, Infrastructure Minister Andrzej Adamczyk said in parliament on Thursday. In 2015, railways handled 280 million passengers, Admaczyk added. Railways have been restoring their position after years of decline, despite difficulties caused by widespread upgrade works on the country's railway infrastructure, the minister said.
