Polish president marks centenary of Silesian Uprisings

It was necessary to fight three times for Silesia to be part of Poland, because one fights for what is valuable, Polish President Andrzej Duda said on Thursday at an event commemorating the Silesian Uprisings. The president's speech preceded the act of Silesian Province Assembly Speaker Jakub Chelstowski and Silesian Province Governor Jaroslaw Wieczorek bestowing upon him a replica of the 'For You Poland' standard of the Silesian insurgents.
