Polish PM, US Treasury secretary discuss Ukraine war

Mateusz Morawiecki, Poland's prime Minister, held talks with US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Monday during her visit to Warsaw aimed at increasing economic pressure on Russia to end its war on Ukraine. The talks focused on the tightening of sanctions against Russia and strengthening Nato, the Polish Prime Minister's Office wrote in a press release. The meeting between Morawiecki and Yellen, aimed "to coordinate the international response to Russia's military aggression against Ukraine", and was "a demonstration of commitment to European security and the strengthening of transatlantic ties," the statement said.
