Polish parliament speaker discusses security issues in Washington

Security issues dominated Sejm (lower house) Speaker Elzbieta Witek's talks in the US Congress on Tuesday. Also taking part was Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, who said that the US was doing everything to ensure the security of Europe. "Security issues were the most important issues discussed, which we spoke about in the context of sanctions against Russia and what is happening behind the eastern border, that the conflict in Ukraine and its dangers have not yet been resolved," Witek told reporters after the meeting on Capitol Hill.
