Poland's top politicians laid wreaths on Wednesday at Warsaw's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and several monuments devoted to the architects of Poland's independence, which the country regained in 1918 after more than a century of partitions. President Andrzej Duda, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, upper and lower house speakers and the defence minister took part in the ceremony held at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at noon.
