Polish, Hungarian PMs to meet in Budapest over EU veto

The Polish and Hungarian prime ministers will meet in Budapest later on Thursday to discuss the EU's next seven-year budget, which the two could veto if it ties funding to respect for the rule of law. Poland and Hungary have objected to a clause in the budget linking funding to the rule of law, and have expressed concerns that the regulation could be arbitrarily used by Brussels to interfere in domestic politics.
