Polish Health Ministry denies reports of first coronavirus case

The Health Ministry told PAP on Thursday morning that earlier media reports of Poland's first patient infected with coronavirus were untrue. "We deny the reports on the emergence of coronavirus in Poland. Please, do not spread any rumours," Health Ministry spokesperson Wojciech Andrusiewicz said. Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kryska told the Senate on Thursday that 47 people have been hospitalised due to suspected coronavirus infection, 55 are under quarantine and 1,570 are under observation.
