Polish govt: Inflation may reach 8 pc by end-year

Inflation could hit 7-8 percent this year, a deputy finance minister said on Tuesday. Citing ministry forecasts, Piotr Patkowski told Radio Plus that an 8-percent inflation rate this year was "realistic," but inflation should stay below 10 percent. He added that rising inflation was also to be expected in the first two quarters of 2022, with a drop in subsequent months.
