Polish Finance Ministry claims VAT tightening yields EUR 5.53 bn a year

Poland's VAT gap had reduced the fastest in the EU from 24 percent to 12 percent in the last four years, a deputy finance minister, Jan Sarnowski has told the lower house of Parliament. The VAT gap is the overall difference between the expected VAT revenue and the amount actually collected.
