Government spending on aid to people with disabilities has risen from PLN 30 billion (EUR 7 bn) to more than PLN 40 billion (EUR 9.4 bn), Social Policy Minister Marlena Malag said on Friday. Malag, who met with the participants of Occupational Therapy Workshops organised by the Polish branch of the Caritas charity organisation in Slupia, central-western Poland, said that the government was seeking to further improve the situation of the disabled, who constitute 13 percent of the Polish population.
