Polish consumer sentiment up 6.3 pps y/y in May

Poland's consumer sentiment improved in May from its April's level as the indicator of current consumer confidence (BWUK) rose by 6.3 percentage points to minus 30.1 points, the Central Statistical Office (GUS) said on Wednesday. The highest growths were recorded for assessments in the future economic situation of the country and ability to make important purchases (up by 15.6 pps and 11.6 pps, respectively). The drops were reported for assessments in the current economic situation of the country and households (down by 5.1 pps, and 1.9 pps, respectively).
