Polish banks grant mortgages to highest ever value in 2019

The year 2019 set a new record for the value of mortgages granted in Poland at PLN 62.6 billion (EUR 14.5 billion), over 16 percent up on the previous year, the Polish Bank Association (ZBP) has reported. The number of mortgages granted in 2019 was almost 6 percent up on 2018 at 225,100, the ZBP reported, adding that in terms of quantity, 2019's results were the best since 2010.
