Police to step up patrols for Budapest Intl Eucharistic Congress

Hungary's national police chief has ordered increased patrols in Budapest, and in the northern cities of Esztergom and Dorog for the International Eucharistic Congress (NEK) scheduled to be held in Budapest from September 5 until 12, the National Police Headquarters said on Friday. Under the order, there will be an increased police presence in Budapest from midnight on Sept. 3 until midnight on Sept. 12 in order to maintain order on the roads, uphold public safety and prevent offenses.
