Police Corps Presidium spokesman Michal Slivka told TASR on Friday that the police have been registering an increasing number of scam calls directly targeting Slovak private telephone numbers since the autumn. "The scammers use a method that allows them to appear to be calling from a Slovak number at the receiving end, but they are probably making the calls from abroad. They speak English and present themselves as Microsoft tech support workers," said Slivka.
