The Czech police have shelved the case of the train collision that occurred near Cesky Brod in 2019, killing a train driver and inuring over 30 passengers, because no suspected crime was involved, police spokeswoman Michaela Richterova wrote on their web today. The July 2019 crash of a passenger train into a standing postal train was caused by health problems of the former's driver that could not be detected beforehand. The material damage reached 45 million crowns and the bustling track between Prague and the nearby district town of Kolin remained out of operation for about 13 hours.
